Careers Paper Machine Superintendent

We are looking for a paper machine superintendent to join our team. Candidates must have previous experience supervising unionized individuals in a paper making facility. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operations of the department and its approximately forty employees.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to legislated and Company standards for safety, control, and housekeeping,
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with established Company standards, policies, legislative requirements, and collective agreement provisions through regular safety crew meetings, general discussion, and individual communications,
  • Oversee operations of the newsprint machine,
  • Participate in the department operating budgeting process,
  • Work closely with other operating and maintenance departments,
  • Candidates must have strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills,
  • Candidates should have strong computer skills including experience with MS Office.

Compensation:

  • This is a salary position plus an annual bonus and fully paid relocation assistance is available,
