We are looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this position will assist in coordinating parts, materials and supplies for maintenance shutdowns and weekly maintenance demands, manage the flow of return to stock materials and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with established Company standards, policies, legislative requirements, and collective agreement provisions through regular safety crew meetings, general discussion, and individual communications,
  • Assist in inventory management as well as coordinate efforts between Stores, Procurement, Maintenance and Operations on outage materials,
  • Responsible for the procurement of materials and services for the Thunder Bay Operation,
  • Prepare bid documents, tenders and bid quote summaries as well as negotiate and implement a variety of contracts with various vendors,
  • Extract and analyze data to maintain an efficient and cost-effective procurement system.

Your Profile:

  • Candidates must have a diploma or degree in business administration and a Certified Professional Purchaser Certificate would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven, progressive purchasing and strategy experience.
  • Excellent communicator with all levels of the organization. Insightful, self-aware, and able to listen to employees and integrate feedback into the operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for translating quantitative and qualitative data into actionable plans. A strong financial acumen is required.
  • Candidates must have strong computer skills including experience with MS Office and Outlook.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work within Canada at the time of applying for the position.

Compensation:

  • This is a salary position in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience plus an annual bonus and relocation assistance,
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision care and medical benefits along with vacation and defined benefit pension plan with CAAT.
