We are looking for a supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient utilization of staffing and equipment while they perform maintenance and emergency repairs to the equipment in the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations ensuring all employees are held accountable for our safety and environmental systems.
- Ensure company policies and values are implemented and maintained throughout the organization and all legal requirements are met.
- Lead a unionized team in optimizing maintenance as well as coordinate schedule routine and preventative maintenance functions by tradespersons.
- Work closely with operating departments and planners to complete mechanical maintenance.
- Mentor and coach employees through active observation and provide feedback.
Your Profile:
- Candidates must have a red seal trade certificate or diploma or degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising trades in a unionized environment.
- Excellent communicator, insightful, self-aware, and able to listen to employees and integrate feedback into the operations. Strong belief in continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills including planning, prioritizing, and delegating.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and previous experience using a CMMS.
- Candidates must be able to legally work within Canada at the time of applying for the position.
Compensation:
- This is a salary position in the range of $85,000 to $100,000 depending upon experience plus an annual bonus and relocation assistance.
