We are looking for a process and control engineer to join our team. As a member of the production team, you are responsible for technical oversight of the control systems within the production facilities. You are the subject matter expert related to control systems and will troubleshoot issues with instrumentation technicians, operators and engineers as required. In addition, you will investigate events, create reports, and carry out corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with established Company standards, policies and legislative requirements,
  • You will be part of a team that will strive to optimize performance including chemical recovery, chemical wood pulping and environmental controls,
  • Develop process improvements that lead to cost reductions and improved efficiency.

Your Profile:

  • Candidates must have a degree in chemical engineering or a mechanical engineer with process and control experience.
  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of process experience in an industrial facility, experience in a pulp and paper facility is preferred.
  • Excellent communicator with all levels of the organization. Insightful, self-aware, and able to listen to employees and integrate feedback into the operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational skills.
  • Candidates must have strong computer skills including experience with MS Office and Outlook.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work within Canada at the time of applying for the position.

Compensation:

  • This is a salary position in the range of $70,000 to $85,000 depending on experience plus an annual bonus and relocation assistance,
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision care and medical benefits along with vacation and defined benefit pension plan with CAAT.
