We are looking for an apprentice to join our team. Candidates must have a 2-year electrical engineering technician diploma and be able to legally work in Canada at the time of applying for the position.  Candidates should have a knowledge of electrical systems and have excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work safely independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform periodic inspections of equipment and systems to observe operating conditions and determine if equipment is in need for repair or adjustment,
  • Inspect and test machinery for proper functioning,
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to perform tasks,
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and make necessary repairs,
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

Your Profile:

  • Candidates must have a 2-year electrical engineering technician diploma at the time of applying for this position,
  • Previous experience working in an industrial facility would be an asset.

Compensation:

  • The successful Candidate will start at $35.12/hour and as they accumulate hours and complete trade school, the rate of pay will increase as outlined in the collective agreement.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision care and medical benefits along with vacation and defined benefit pension plan with CAAT.
